Cold Process Soap Making for Beginners
This hands-on introductory class is designed for beginners and curious makers who want to learn the art of Cold Process soap making in a relaxed, supportive setting. Participants are guided through the traditional artisan method, using high-quality vegetable oils, essential oils, natural fragrances, clays, herbs, and mineral colorants.
The class covers all the foundational steps of cold process soap making, from accurate weighing and measuring to safely working with sodium hydroxide. You will learn how to blend, scent, and color soap, bring the mixture to trace, and pour into molds with confidence and care. Safety, technique, and understanding are emphasized throughout the session.
Working in small groups, students will create three different soap recipes: a classic 100% Pure Castile bar scented with essential oils, a nourishing Clay and Shea soap, and a rich Beeswax, Oatmeal Milk & Honey bar. All soaps made during the class are yours to take home, along with a detailed information and recipe package so you can continue making soap at home.
